    1. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, butter and salt. Mix until it takes on a doughy texture.
    2. Cut the dough into two even chunks.
    3. With one of the chunks of dough, place it in a 9 inch pie dish and press it into the dish until it is all evenly distributed.
    4. The remaining dough is to be used as the top crust for the pie, so roll it out and set aside for later use.
    1. Preheat oven to 425 F
    2. In a medium pot over high heat, combine all the ingredients for the syrup. Bring to a boil, lower heat and allow to cook for about 3 minutes. Set aside for later use.
    3. In a small bowl, combine walnuts, honey, cinnamon and salt. Take already cored apples and fill each with ½ tsp butter and an even amount of walnut filling.
    4. Divide dough into 6 evenly sized balls. Using a pastry roller, roll the balls out until they are about 8 inches in diameter. Place the apple on the dough and pull up the dough up the sides of the apple until it is completely covered. Pinch the dough closed.
    5. Once all apples have been covered in the dough, place spaced out on a baking sheet. Pour the syrup a top each dumpling and cook for about 40 minutes.
